Cryotherapy
Premature ejaculation (PE) is defined as uncontrolled ejaculation during sexual intercourse that prevents the satisfaction of the individual or their partner.
Selective dorsal cryoablation is based on the principle of slightly reducing the sensitivity of the nerve endings on the penis glans through targeted cold application (cryotherapy). This helps improve ejaculation control.
What is Selective Dorsal Cryoablation?
A local, controlled cold application is applied to the nerve endings on the dorsal (upper) surface of the penis glans.
This procedure reduces sensitivity while delaying ejaculation without affecting natural sensation or erectile function.
The procedure is minimally invasive, does not require surgery, and can generally be performed in an office setting.
When is it Used?
Selective dorsal cryoablation is particularly preferred in the following cases:
-
Mild to moderate premature ejaculation
-
Patients who have not responded adequately to other treatment methods (medication or behavioral therapy)
-
Cases requiring combination with glans fillers or drug therapy
How is it Performed?
-
The penis is cleaned in a sterile manner, and local anesthesia or a topical gel is applied.
-
Controlled cryotherapy is applied to the selective dorsal area using a cryotherapy device.
-
The procedure usually takes 5–10 minutes.
-
Patients can return to daily activities immediately after the procedure.
Treatment is usually performed in a single session; additional sessions may be required in some cases.

Post-Treatment and Effects
-
Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness may occur; usually resolves within a few days.
-
Effects are typically rapid, and ejaculation control is improved.
-
Natural sensation and erectile function remain unaffected.
Advantages
-
Minimally invasive and painless
-
Increases ejaculation control by reducing glans sensitivity
-
Can be performed without surgery or long-term medication
-
Short procedure time and rapid recovery
-
Can be combined with other PE treatments
